Efficiently Turning Waste into Value: A fully automated plastic bag recycling and pelletizing machine has been successfully delivered, enabling high-value recycling of used shopping bags and trash bags. Our company’s independently developed, next-generation fully automated plastic film recycling and pelletizing system (PE/PP Plastic Film Recycling Granulating Line) was successfully installed and commissioned at the client’s facility, passing the initial material trial run on the first attempt. Using shredded red shopping bags and trash bags as feedstock, the system achieved uninterrupted automatic feeding, efficient extrusion, precision pelletizing, and continuous bagging. This article provides an in-depth look at the equipment’s installation process, core technical highlights, and commercial application prospects. Conveying and Metered Feeding: An inclined belt conveyor equipped with side guards prevents film scatter and ensures the steady, continuous transport of lightweight plastic flakes to the compactor or main extruder feed inlet.

Intelligent Control Console: A centralized PLC touch-screen control system provides a clear, real-time display of parameters such as heating zone temperatures, screw speed, main motor current, and melt pressure.

Efficient Extrusion and Fine Filtration: The molten red plastic flows through a high-efficiency single- or dual-stage screw system; combined with an automatic, non-stop hydraulic screen changer, it effectively filters out impurities to ensure high output purity.

Pneumatic Conveying and Vertical Storage: Once pelletized, the high-quality red plastic granules are conveyed via an air-flow pipeline directly into a large stainless-steel vertical mixing/storage silo. Bags of finished, high-purity recycled granules stacked neatly on-site demonstrate the system’s value and boost the client’s economic confidence. Re-blown Film for Trash Bags/Packaging: This is the most direct application. The recycled granules can be blended with virgin material at specific ratios or used 100% to manufacture black, dark-colored, or tinted flat bags, trash bags, roll bags, courier bags, and more.

Injection-Molded Products: Suitable for producing industrial and household items such as plastic pallets, trash cans, buckets, pipe fittings, and plastic turnover crates.

Agricultural Piping and Construction Materials: Recycled PE granules are in high demand for applications such as agricultural drip irrigation pipes, waterproof construction membranes, and plastic lumber (wood-plastic composites).
